Hi, I’m Robin,
and I like to write.
As a former Editorial Director for Old Navy and an award-winning freelance copywriter and creative consultant, I have 20 years of storytelling experience in the hospitality and travel, fashion and beauty, specialty retail and consumer products, home furnishings, health and wellness, food and beverage, luxury lifestyle, DTC, B2B, and B2C markets. That experience comes with deep industry and institutional knowledge that helps me work faster, smarter, and more effectively for my clients.
I've named a hip-hop perfume, corrected a supermodel's pronunciation on set, written Mad Libs for a pop-star, and definitive registry guides for upscale brides. I've even helped rebrand the cultural empire best-known for its gentlemen's magazine (think: bunnies). I've won numerous awards for my commercial and print work, including a CLIO, an OBIE, and a RACIE. I love copywriting so much, I’ve even taught it at Stanford.

Great copywriters aren’t just creative.
They’re communicative.
I'm strategic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and lightning fast. I can turn a phrase — and turn around a project — in record time. I approach every project with energy and enthusiasm, and welcome feedback and criticism. (In my experience, it almost always makes the work better.)
But wait... you're also a poet.
Aren't poets a little unpredictable?
The short answer is yes, in the best possible ways.
Who wants predictable copy?
As a poet, I come to copywriting with a natural proclivity for thinking outside the box, and a practical understanding of how to manipulate the nuances of language and tone. What does that mean for you? Smart, savvy creative work that exceeds your objectives, defies expectations, and delivers just what you need — copy that’s provocative, persuasive, and full of personality. (And unlike Taylor Swift, there’s nothing “tortured” about this poet: I’m personable and professional, I promise.)
